One More Year!

NFC Championship - San Francisco 49ers v Atlanta Falcons I think I speak for all Atlanta fans when I say we are all hoping and praying that Tony Gonzalez will return for his 18th season.

According to ESPN, Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff remains hopeful that Gonzalez will suit up for one more season.

Dimitroff said of the situation: “Tony has done so much for us on and off the field, and I don’t believe, not stating that he would be lying to anyone, but I don’t believe the 95 percent,” Dimitroff said on “Pro Football Talk” on NBC Sports Network.”I want to believe it’s a lot closer to 50-50, to be honest with you, and we’ve had discussions.”

Gonzalez played a pivotal in the 2012-13 season, snagging a team high 93 catches while accounting for eight touchdowns. Tony’s biggest moment of season came late in the game against Seattle in the divisional round when he hauled in a pass from Matt Ryan to put the Falcons in field goal range, eventually leading to a victory.

I truly hope the sure fire future hall of famer returns to the ATL for one more season. I also hope the team can send him out on top, where he belongs.
